Three week writing unit- fiction for Y2/3 based on the book The Last Tree by Emily Haworth-Booth. The book is about a village that cut all the trees down for wood but soon see that trees give us so much more! Lessons include skill lessons- direct speech, expanded noun phrases; lessons about the books- characters feelings, setting descriptions and leads to an end of unit write (story). As well as that there is a suggested launch activity to excite learners! All lessons use the National Curriculum milestones and Age-Related-Expectations.
